Color contacts!

Sometimes we all wish like we could change our eye color. I personally have brown eyes, and MOST people have brown eyes. Sometimes I just want to look a little different so thank goodness for the invention of contact lenses!

So there are two contact lenses I got from this website here:

Hurricane Irene

Have any of you lived through a hurricane before? I have no idea what to expect, i've never seen this before. I mean, i'm from NY, we don't tend to get hit that often, but when we did in the past, it was pretty bad.

Now what i'm thinking is that it won't be that bad. I've taken all the safety precautions like filling up my car with gas (though if there's a flood, i'm not really going anywhere) and stocking up on food. As for boarding the windows... well we didn't do that. I just know I'm not sleeping in my room, because if the trees around me fall, they fall right in my room. So i've pretty much taken the safety precautions I can, also buying candles and matches... and my dad has some flashlights somewhere.

But you know what, I think the news is making it seem extremely bad. They don't want to be responsible for what happens and are telling us the worst case scenario so that everyone is prepared, because no one really knows what to expect. Although hurricane Irene was a 3 at first of how strong it was, it has died down to a 2 yesterday, and a 1 today. How bad could it possibly be?

Thing is, no matter what happens all we can do is be as prepared as possible. We can't stop mother nature. So even if it rips my roof off of my house, and my house floods, what can I do but run and get to a safety shelter? Sure starting over will be extremely hard and i'll think it's impossible, but it can be done. People have started over in New Orleans and Japan. We truly don't know what we're capable of until we're put in that situation. I'll be hoping for the best, and hoping that no severe damage is done. But i'll stay strong even if I have to start all over. 

Here's to surviving this hurricane in one piece in your own house, may there be no severe damage...

Back to school!

Yeah, we're getting closer to that time of the year. back to school! Some of you may have already started, and some of you are getting ready to go back to school! Either way, i've created a very pretty and natural eye makeup look for you all, as well as pretty lips!

Sweep over your whole eyelid with this very light peachy color:

Then take this light pink, and put on the outer half of your eyelid:

Put this reddish pink into your crease and the outer v:

Focus the dark purple intou your outer v, but blend into the crease:

Blend out any harsh lines with the light pink pictured above ^ (eyeshadow picture #2)

Use this white as a highlight under your brow bone:

New jammies!

On my break at work today, i discovered these pretty jammies! 

And guess what?! It's ONLY $29.50 for BOTH pieces. for a pajama set like that from PINK, that is pretty cheap. Also, on top of that, you can wear the two separately and make it look like a regular t-shirt, or like any ol' leggings!

Maybe the saying on the t-shirt isn't for everyone. 

My sister said to me "only if that was true" & mommadukes said "maybe not study less, but yes party more" haha gotta love em. 

They also have different sets if you don't like the one above:

Splish Splash!

My day at Splishy Splash was great. Just wondering though, is Splish Splash just a NY thing or is there a splish splash waterpark other places too?

Well I thought I'd share with you all my day. Although we didn't take pictures, because we're not going to take our camera on a water ride lol, but the people we were with (partially my family, partially my cousins family) bought piccays. So here are some piccays:

So that was my day at Splish Splash. Can't believe I haven't been there in over 3 years, there's like a whole new addition to the park now and another new ride and a second wave pool!

Sometimes, you just have to.

Highway discovery

So the other day when I went out with my sister, one of my best friends, two of my best friend's friends and I, they took us to a park by the highway. I guess it's not really a park but kind of, there was a path and everything, and we walked under a bridge and along the highway, and waved to people. But I thought I'd share this with you all because I never knew there was anything like that!

This was my view from where I was sitting on some thingie that I don't know how to explain!

This is what I saw to my right side while sitting, lots of bushes!

This is where I was sitting looking pretty and waving to cars that passed by!

Now my sister took another picture for me because I didn't really like the other ones. hehe

And here is the park like thing. I took a picture of my best friend (she doesn't know I posted this picture haha but she'll see it I think). We kept walking down but then got creeped out and scared that some animal would jump out at us hah. I guess we'll never know what was at the end of this path.
