Compliments!

Are you aware of how much a compliment can completely change someone's day?! Someone could be having a horrible day, and you give them a compliment, and then all of a sudden they feel a bit better! It doesn't have to be a compliment like "you're pretty" if that's not what you think, but if you like their ring, or their ring, maybe even their shirt, TELL THEM! don't ever hold back a compliment!

I know that when I get compliments, they just make me happy. I like knowing that people look at me and observe what I wear and this and that. I like that. And when someone gives me a compliment, my day is just that much better!

Think of it this way. Let's say someone absolutely loved fashion. and then one day something really bad happened in their life, and they just gave up on going on with being a fashion designer but they still had some clothes they've made before. So you see them wearing one of their own designs and you happen to like it, so you compliment them. You're giving them the inspiration to go on with their dreams, to continue doing what they love, all because you said you liked one of their creations.

Now what if someone has a very bad situation at home? What if they are being mentally abused and are constantly being told they're not beautiful and that they're worthless. If you think they're pretty, you tell them! They will hold on to that compliment for months and constantly replay it in their head, it could be what gets them through the day!

Compliments are very powerful! So next time you like what someone is wearing, or if you think they have nice eyes or are pretty, i'm telling you to go up to them and TELL THEM! tell them that you think they're gorgeous, tell them you love their outfit, whatever it is, just get over there and tell them.

you'll also see that it'll put a smile on their face as well as a smile on yours. they'll say thank you and smile, and you're like forced to smile back.

So go, don't ever hold back compliments!!

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."

Compliments and happy hearts,

Rainy, cloudy, and ugly days!

DON'T wear black and grays on ugly days, that's just even more depressing. People wear those colors because well it's such an ugly day, so why should that put us down too? Try wearing some bright colors on cloudy days, stand out, don't be like everyone else. I personally like to wear red on rainy days, but that's just me, you guys can wear any bright color!

You'll find that if you wear a bright color on these ugly days, you'll feel better. You definitely won't be as sad looking as everyone else walking the streets. You'll feel good about yourself. Bright colors tend to make people happier too, so be prepared to smile, and smile some more!

From now on, no grays and blacks on these dark gloomy days. Bright colors and reds are only allowed!

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world!"
Bright colors and happy faces...

When someone puts you in a bad mood...

Just take a deep breath. Breathe in, and breathe out. You'll feel a bit better. As for the person that put you in the bad mood, well try to talk to them as little as possible until you're in a better mood. Otherwise, you might end up yelling and screaming, and just going crazy at them with all the hate you feel at the moment. Or if you can, just leave that place for a little bit so you can go out, relax, and clear your head. It's not always possible though. But do what you can, that will work for you.

Also, just because you're in a bad mood, that doesn't mean that you have to take your mood out on everyone else. Your friends didn't do anything wrong. They didn't put you in the bad mood. So why bitch at them, why make them feel like shit too? Talk to them as if you would on any other normal day, and keep your bad mood to yourself. And if you really can't take it, then simply tell them you want to be left alone for the day because you're not in the best of moods. If they are your friends, they will understand.

But rather then having a frown on your face, it's much easier to smile. So you can even just let the bad mood pass within a few minutes and go back to being your happy self! So turn that frown upside down, and let the world see you smile!

"A smile confuses an approaching frown."

Happy thoughts everywhere...

A smile will brighten up anyone's day!

Working at Dunkin' Donuts (which I don't anymore), has given me a new outlook on life. Well, how smiling could change someone's day! Since I was ALWAYS at the cashier, I had to smile and be happy, which was easy for me because I did that most of the time anyway. But what I realized is that, by smiling, by being very polite, and just by asking someone how their day was, makes them feel good. It puts a smile on their face too! I had people come in telling me that when I'm not there, there's no one there to brighten up their day. I've had people come in and tell me that they look forward to seeing me every morning. And why? Because I was always smiling! I even had a guy nickname me smiley! =) So you see, all you need to do is smile! Smiling also uses less muscles then frowning does so it's always better to smile! Even if you just crack a little smile, you can completely make someone's else's day. They may be going through a hard time, or maybe it's just not their day, but you can make it so much better! Just think about that the next time you're feeling down and someone smiles at you, how would that make you feel? Happier right?! YES YES YES! Even when you just look at someone and they crack a little smile, it's like you always crack a little smile back! But hey, it's a smile! So smile smile and smile big! Show those pretty white teeth of yours!

So today, remember to give a stranger one of your smiles.  It might be the only sunshine he sees all day!!

"A kind heart is a fountain of gladness, making everything in its vicinity freshen into smiles."

Here's to morning smiles, and a sunny day,
Smile big, your teeth need some sunshine too!

Don't let anyone bring you down!

The people that try to make you upset just do it to make themselves feel better. Either they can't deal with what's going on in their life or are jealous of you and want to make your life bad too. Well don't worry about them. Just know who you are. Know how many people care about you, know that your family and friends love you.

Rumors. Yes, they may make you upset. especially when your so called best friend backstabs you. BUT that's only because she/he has some animosity towards you, or she envies you. Obviously they never told you, but when your life always seems better then theirs, all that anger builds up inside of them. Now just think about it this way. Rumors are just words spread around, hurtful words. But think, is it true? It most likely isn't. It's just a made up story. And it'll all pass, everyone will eventually forget about it. So you be the bigger person, don't get upset about it because you know it's a LIE. Don't show them tat it's getting to you, because then they'll see that you're just an easy target. Stick to the truth. If you know it's a lie, then who cares? People will see it doesn't bother you and they won't bother to spread rumors about you anymore.

Now what if a friend backstabs you by pretending to be your friend? Or they tell lies about you? Or tell someone your secrets? We all come across those kinds of people at some point in our life. They come and they go, they were never your best friend in the first place. I understand you may be heart and you might be wondering "how can some people be so cruel". Well I don't know the answer to that, but people have different experiences in their life. Everyone has a different personality and everyone acts a different way because of the way their environment, and their community shaped them to be. You can't really do much about it. Let them out of your life, they don't belong there.

Anyone that makes you upset does not belong in your life. We all deserve to be happy, because life is too short to be sad all the time. Yes your family may upset you, but i don't mean family. Any friends that constantly make you upset, don't deserve a place in your heart, or a place in your life. Get rid of all the people that make you unhappy, and you'll see that you are much better off. You'll be happier! You'll smile more!

Now criticism. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. One person may say this but another may say that. One person may say you have ugly hair and another may say it's beautiful. Someone may say your voice sucks and another may say it's music to their ears. Not everyone is going to like you, and not everyone is going to like what others like. And you need to understand that. Understand that you have opinions about other people too. You can take criticism in one of two ways. You can either take it as a way to improve on something, or you can just ignore it and think about all the good things people have said.

Either way, remember that we all deserve to be happy, and that we all need to smile. Your smile will make someone else smile and wouldn't that make you feel good to know that you just made someone else's day that much better?!

Follow your dreams!

Do you know what you want to be, what you want to accomplish in life? To truly live is to follow your heart, to realize that you can achieve your dream and be who you were meant to be. Whether you are just starting this journey of life fresh out of college, or even grade school, it is time to live your life. It is never too late!

During your life you have probably made a mistake or two, and you have to live with them. However you can overcome your past and create your dream future. To do that you need to know what your dream is. Did you truly want to grow up to be the cashier at Dunkin' Donuts, or the weekend cashier at the convenience store? f not, then you need to remember what it was that you wanted to be. Write it down and realize that it is not too late to start.

You have your dream, and you want to live it. Well, to get there you need to take a few steps along the way. Nobody ever (and I do mean nobody) accomplishes their dream life by wishing. You have to work at it a little bit at a time. You have to make progress a step at a time. You simply cannot wish to be able to be the next Mister or Miss Universe and expect them to mail you your prize from the comfort of your couch; you have to stop being a couch potato and actually go chase after your dreams. You need to work for it!

So now you're probably wondering, how do I make my dream a reality? You need to decide what steps to take to get there and to do so you need to set goals! Sometimes you even have to put deadlines on those goals. Goals are simply stepping-stones; you set a goal to achieve something then set tasks to achieve that goal. Don't worry if there's a few roadblocks along the way, resolve them, and get past them. There's bound to be some obstacles and you just need to stay positive. Focus on what your goal is, and keep trying to achieve it!

Remember, it is never too late! If you're determined and hard-working, and if you really want your dream to come true, you won't give up until you're living that dream!

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you have imagined!"
Lots of love and inspiration...
