Are you aware of how much a compliment can completely change someone's day?! Someone could be having a horrible day, and you give them a compliment, and then all of a sudden they feel a bit better! It doesn't have to be a compliment like "you're pretty" if that's not what you think, but if you like their ring, or their ring, maybe even their shirt, TELL THEM! don't ever hold back a compliment!
I know that when I get compliments, they just make me happy. I like knowing that people look at me and observe what I wear and this and that. I like that. And when someone gives me a compliment, my day is just that much better!
Think of it this way. Let's say someone absolutely loved fashion. and then one day something really bad happened in their life, and they just gave up on going on with being a fashion designer but they still had some clothes they've made before. So you see them wearing one of their own designs and you happen to like it, so you compliment them. You're giving them the inspiration to go on with their dreams, to continue doing what they love, all because you said you liked one of their creations.
Now what if someone has a very bad situation at home? What if they are being mentally abused and are constantly being told they're not beautiful and that they're worthless. If you think they're pretty, you tell them! They will hold on to that compliment for months and constantly replay it in their head, it could be what gets them through the day!
Compliments are very powerful! So next time you like what someone is wearing, or if you think they have nice eyes or are pretty, i'm telling you to go up to them and TELL THEM! tell them that you think they're gorgeous, tell them you love their outfit, whatever it is, just get over there and tell them.
you'll also see that it'll put a smile on their face as well as a smile on yours. they'll say thank you and smile, and you're like forced to smile back.
So go, don't ever hold back compliments!!
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
Compliments and happy hearts,
