Let's hope no one takes this the wrong way...

Well there's always going to be people that judge you. And I'm aware of that. But i don't think its fair to judge a person without knowing someone. Just like you can't judge a book by it's cover.

With what i'm about to tell all of you that read my blog/follow my twitter/ and joined my facebook family, I'm only hoping that none of you will judge me. Though I know some of you will because we live in a world where we can just look at someone and already know if we like them or not, or if we even want to talk to them.

But here it goes,
I got my tongue pierced.

I have posted on facebook that I wanted my tongue pierced. A lot of you said no at first, and some of you said that it's up to me. For those of you that said it's my decision, or to do whatever I want, thank you. Because those of you that didn't say no are less likely to judge me now. For those of you that did say no, well I hope you all don't judge me.

For what it counts, my mother did know I was going to get my tongue pierced. Although i'm almost 20, i told her anyway instead of hiding it. It's always better to tell anyway. Although she didn't exactly want me to get it pierced, she came to terms with it because I told her.

It was my decision, and only my decision. I've had people ask me if i want the piercing or if someone wants me to get the piercing. Well let me tell you that this was all me. No one told me to get it done, no one made me do it either.

Why did I do it? I've wanted a tongue piercing for a while now. I think i was 15 or 16 when i first wanted it. I personally just think it looks pretty. Also, since I can't have anything else pierced for work like my cartilage or my nose (yes i took it out), i figured a tongue ring is perfect since you can't really see it. I mean, how many of you noticed it in my recent video? I bet you none of you noticed.

It's not something I'm going to go around telling people i got my tongue pierced and I'm not going to walk around with my tongue sticking out. But I figured I'd tell all of you, because sooner or later someone will notice it on camera. At least you all know the story now.

Think, before you judge.
xoxo, Lina

  3. Yes indeed it's been your own decision... and I hate prejudice! I want a tattoo and my parents know it - sort of the same situation :)
Thanks for sharing this. People should accept you as you are.
