Kids: DON'T try this at home

My friday night looks a little something like this...

AND no, i do not do this every friday night, just this friday night because it's the night before new year's, gotta be prepared to celebrate.

Sad part is that I have work at 9:30am, on january 1st... i don't know how i'm getting up yet... but let me stop typing now and show you what my friday night looked like...

We made Jello Shots for tomorrow!

Total jello shots = 168

How many of us eating those? = 6

How many am I having? like 3, because i'm the only one that has work. =/

And then we had two cups leftover and no jello or anything, we decided to make vodka gummi bears... we're testing a theory which is why there's only two cups of them.

Silly hats!

I'm just normally a silly person... I don't do things just to take a picture... I do things just because I do them!

At Tar-shjay i walked around in this santa's helper headband...

If you could see the little print, it does say I'm Santa's helper....

and also.... the headband was falling off my head, because my head is way bigger than a toddler's.

Not just headbands, i also like to wear silly every day hats! Actually, i just think it's cute... everyone else gets a laugh from it haha

Jeffrey Campbell "lita" booties

Alright guys I need opinions, because I'm torn between these two pairs of shoes. They're extremely expensive, therefore I can't afford both, otherwise if i had the money... i'd order both without second thoughts.  

Now give me your opinions!!

Option 1: Black leather

After reading reviews, people had said that the leather seems cheap because it scuffs. However, ALL leather will scuff, i mean it's leather! So i can't rely on that really. However, black matches with everything!

For a background on what shoes I have, i do have a couple of pairs of black wedges in suede and some black leather soldier boot thins. I don't know if that matters but maybe it'll help you help me. 

Option #2: Nude suede

These shoes had really good reviews. I have wanted a pair of nude shoes. But at the same time, suede does get ruined. Any dirt, water, and your shoes are gone. 

So what do you guys think? Help me out!

The SIMPLEST holiday nails!!

So many of you have requested some holiday nail ideas with the new OPI muppets collection nail polish that I had also done a giveaway on. So I actually painted my nails like this just cause i thought it'd be pretty, and then people commented on how holiday-y they look.... so i guess they could be holiday nails!!

You're going to need these colors, or similar ones.... or just a chunky glitter nail polish you can paint your nails a zillion times with!

Hair, clips, and funny faces.

This is what happens when I babysit.. if i'm not getting a manicure or a pedicure.... then i'm getting my hair done! This lovely 7 year old hairstylist, came up with this look for me! You can't see the back,... but in the back... my hair isn't braided. It's the look she came up with....

Don't ya love my face?

After giving me a new hairstyle.... my hyperness after only sleeping 3 hours (went to bed at 3am) and worked ALL day from 6am-2pm, then target shopping and then babysitting... and here I am... I decorated her shirt with hair accessories.... haha

And she thought it'd be cute to make the same face I made when she did my hair haha.

Hello Kitty raincoat

This is one of the most.... um... interesting raincoats i have ever seen. It's from Forever 21's hello kitty collection of clothes. I don't exactly see how it fits into hello kitty... i don't know, did hello kitty wear a see through rain coat?

The hello kitty shirt underneath, doesn't come as part of the rain coat. So i'm not seeing as to why this is a hello kitty collection?

Although I don't think I could ever wear this, i'd love to see someone else wear it!

Seasonal candy!!

Holiday season is one of the most enjoyable seasons of the year! Pumpkin, snowmans, peeps, peppermint goodies, and all these yum yums are back! I wish they had this stuff all year round, but since they don't, ya gotta get it while you can!

First up is seasonal chocolate! Yes, I had a bigger bag of these with regular milk chocolate filled with caramel... but I fell in love with the pumpkin and needed to buy some more. I DO NOT like the eggnog, that one is just ew! But they don't sell pumpkin individually.... It's weird... the peppermint is really good too and they sell that individually... but not pumpkin?! GR. so i had to buy the whole pack!

Next up is.... drum roll please!

PEEPs! I love peeps, i like marshmallows, i like that they are snowmans. But i don't like that my middle top peep is missing a red dot like all the other snowmans have, and that the bototm middle's hat looks weird.

Haha but that's okay, i'm gonna eat them away, because they're delicious!

This next one I don't believe is seasonal.. but I love this flavor...

COCONUT! and M&M's. i love M&M's, i usually get the peanut ones (the yellow pack).. but i saw these, and had to have them!

Gosh, so many choices for this time of the year! I LOVE IT!

Black friday sales; Is it worth it?

On black friday, (or as Pandora jewelry likes to call it Fabulous Friday), I went to Target after work. It's not pronounced target in my head by the way... it's Tar-shjay.. i'm bad at sounding things out.

Anyways... let me just get to the point. 

I saw these clif bars on sale. and I LOVEEE clif bars, and the fact that they're on sale means they're not so expensive and i can actually stock up on them!

Price cut to $5!!!! I was so excited!!

Until I looked at the original price...

Really tar-shjay?!?

The thing about black friday...A lot of the time stores have bigger sales not on black friday. For example... when i bought my shoes at charlotte russe they were buy one pair of shoes at full price and get the second for $15.50.... Black friday sale? take 30% off everything in the store. If you do the math, the deal I got comes out cheaper then the black friday sale. 

Black friday rip off number 2: A lot of stores raise their prices for black friday to give you bigger sales such as 40% off everything. You think that's a huge sale right? What you didn't notice before black friday was the actual price of the thing you want to buy. They raise prices, give you bigger sales to make it look like you're getting such a great deal when you're actually paying the price you would have paid any other day when the thing was at it's original price.

Just thought you all should know the trick of black friday sales and retail. 

Don't get me wrong though, NOT all stores are like that. Majority are, but not all. You can still sometimes find a really good deal. If not you're first black friday, maybe your 2nd or 3rd and so on. 

To you black friday shoppers, hope you had an amazing fun time shopping!!!... while I was at work... and most deals ended by 10am..... and i was at work til 2pm. Well, until next year!

Hot Chocolate Recipes!!!

Everyone loves a good cup of hot chocolate! And what better way to stay warm on these cold days then of cup of yumminess?!

First recipe: Nutella Hot Chocolate

- you'll need a whisk for this recipe. (trust me, it works better with a whisk than a spoon)

• milk
• nutella
• cinnamon
• whipped cream

Peppermint hot chocolate

• your choice of hot chocolate... you can even start from scratch and melt your own chocolate... i like to use Swiss Miss hot chocolate and add water.
• milk/water , depending in how you're making the hot chocolate itself. with swiss miss i use water
• peppermint CANDY CANES! (better stock up this holiday season if you want it to last you all year!)

My Thanksgiving.

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry i haven't posted in a while... i've just had double the work hours and midterm exams and such... I know i know, it's not an excuse right? But when you're home only in time to sleep 3 hours and not at home the rest of the time and ya don't have your laptop, what's a girl to do?

Designer bag "splurge"?

SO a Macy's near me was having a 50% off designer bag sale! Only one of the Macy's near me, not the other one. They also never carry designer bags.... but people do return because they take all returns. So today and tomorrow was a 50% off designer bag sale, at 8AM! My mom and I being the crazy awesome people that we are who love to shop, were at Macy's around 8:20AM.

This was me in the car on the way there!

My mom was like, what are you so full of yourself that you need to take pictures all the time?! HAH. 

So around 8:20AM is when they started bringing out all the goodies!

They had these two bags, identical but one was silver one was gold... I wanted them.... but couldn't decide which one i wanted so I didn't get any...

I'm so glad this fits my mac laptop! It was love!!!

Forever 21 package!

During the online "sale" forever 21 had, i bought a couple of things. Didn't need much so i didn't buy much, but it was free shipping!

So the first thing I bought was just a plain black skirt.... because every girl needs one of those in her closet (i didn't even have one.... i've been wearing my sisters for weeks)

Ya know the store Free People?

I was just, actually I don't even know what I was doing. I checked my email (well my 10 different emails), then was on facebook, looked at my phone to see if any of my food was done cooking in bakery story... and then I somehow ended up on a clothing store website for Free People. So then there was this as about limited time dresses, and I was like OOO let me see. SO i'm looking at these dresses, and found this GORGEOUS one.

This dress is SO cute! And I don't really have like a going out/party dress, because I don't go out and I don't party. So i've never really had a reason to buy one. But what I do like is SHINY stuff and SEQUINS. When I saw this, I was like wow i really want it. 

But then I changed my mind when I saw the price....

$258.00

Is Free People crazy or something? 258 buckaroos for that dress? I mean yes it's pretty and all and shiny and i really want it, but I would never spend that much on a dress like that (maybe if I was a millionaire).  Sequin dresses are being sold in a lot of places now, including forever 21 where you can get one for 30 buckaroos. I did try them on at forever 21... they just didn't fit my right so I didn't buy them. 

Sometimes I don't understand what these stores are thinking. I mean we got other stores where we can get a similar dress much cheaper, and then ya come out with a $258 dress... What makes these stores think that we're going to buy their expensive dress, instead of a similar dress for much cheaper?

I just don't understand... and can't afford these massively expensive beautiful clothes....

Oh and an update on my life. Remember how my car was broken like 2 weeks ago, and then I got it back like last week?! Well it broke AGAIN like 3 hours ago... and it stopped in the middle of the street, and needed to be pushed into a parking lot, and had to put a note on the car, so the cops don't think i'm trying to rob a bank (since it's parked at a bank) and it needs to be towed tomorrow.

Oh what great days my car brings to me....-_-

On the bright side.... I did some shopping before my car did break down.... and I'll film a haul video tomorrow (since i have nothing better to do because I don't have any way of leaving my house without a car). I don't know when it'll be posted... but it will be posted eventually. And that's all that matters right?!

Apple software for my laptop...

This was my attempt at going to Apple to upgrade my software of my laptop. I still have imovie 09.... it ahs been great! BUT there are some new features on imovie 11 i'd love to use for when I edit my videos.... But for imovie 11... i need a whole new software for my laptop. It needs to running AT LEAST the snow leopard 10.6 .... and then there's lion.... which is even better then snow leopard... but for lion... i still need snow leopard first. It's great isn't it?

Here's my video on my journey to the apple store... my frustration... my attempt at filming in the car and on my iphone... and a totally weird looking but awesome car i saw on the road. Hope you enjoy!

So since that's kind of is expensive.... I know someone who may be able to download it for me or put it on my computer from their disk since they have the family pack.... Unless things go wrong... then i'll end up getting it myself. But, i'll get it one way or another.

CONTEST WINNER of the OPI MUPPET NAIL POLISH COLLECTION!

Has the week and a half or 2 weeks passed by already?! IT SURE HAS! Well, I only know that because my laptop says so.... otherwise i'd still be thinking today is November 2nd. Haha, that's how behind I am on my days!

So i used random.org to pick the winner for me. The contest was open internationally, and I closed it exactly at midnight of nov. 7th. If that's too hard to understand, pretend it was 11:59pm on november 6th. 

Now rules were rules. So prior to posting the winner here, I had made sure the person was subscribed to BOTH my regular channel (linamariax3ify) and my vlog channel (LifeWithLina), and had the giveaway video in their favorites for me to see. Ya wouldn't believe how many people didn't follow one of those rules I just mentioned and I had to keep clicking on random.org to choose another winner. My gosh, people don't listen huh, well sucks because those 4 people lost a whole nail polish collection they could have had!

As much as I wanted to announce the winner once I found out.... well it'd be too much, because i had to check that people followed the rules. And that took up so much time! So I figured I would just announce the winner NOW!

Misery --> Happiness

A few days in your life may be horrible, may seem like the worst day ever. Then you get those really good days, and nothing else matters anymore. 

(Example: my car broke down last week when I was going babysitting, but spending time with those kids just makes everything better.)

Well to start off... if it makes you feel any better.... i'm down -100 on a costume I bought two years ago and didn't wear. I planned on wearing it this year but then my weekend was all filled with work, and my being sick as well... so that's 2 years I didn't get to wear that costume. On the bright side, Halloween isn't going anywhere... so I'll plan on wearing it next year.... and if it doesn't happen.... then the year after that! EVENTUALLY, i'll wear it.. and when I do, that day will be an awesome one. 

Being sick sucks, yes. But we all get sick... some of us just get sick at a bad time. But let's just be happy that we get better, and everything is okay again. As for the candy.... candy causes cavities anyways!

Halloween comes, Halloween goes, and comes back again next year!

But it's not just Halloween that we may be having a bad day. Maybe it's our birthday, a different holiday, or maybe just a random day out of the 365 days in a year. We all get bad days, some years we'll have more bad days than others. But you know what, then when you get those really good days, you're just that much more appreciative that everything is going right. 

The way I see it is that a bad day comes once in a while. And most of the time, it's not even your whole day, it's like an hour or so! Don't dwell on the misery... it happened, and so what? You move on with your life! Or at least I do... an hour of misery is another 23 hours of happiness that day!

Hope this helps some of you with your bad days. 

A lot of people always ask "how are you so happy all the time?" And it's not that my life is so perfect because it's not. It's the way I look at things, it's my attitude towards things and how I don't let little things upset me and ruin the rest of my day. So try that. 

CAUTION: changing your attitude and adding some positivity can cause Happiness!
